James created HoneyBear Films because he’s a big bear of a man who may appear scary at first (damn bitchy resting face), but on the inside he’s a big old softy who loves a good giggle. A cinematographer, film editor and photo editor, he’s shot hundreds of weddings and has experience across all cultures and styles.
He loves to shoot in a candid, unobtrusive way and then he gets to his real work. Finding your unique story in the edit. His specialty is layering in vows and speeches in highlight films to show off who you are and what it really felt like to be at your wedding. As an award-winning filmmaker James has worked on multiple feature films and TV shows. He has a Masters degree in screenwriting and an impeccable knowledge of story which he uses to elevate wedding films to the next level.
With a PhD in Fine Arts (Sydney College of the Arts, the University of Sydney), a technical education in Art Photography and many years of professional practice, Jade has honed an ideal combination of artistic aesthetic and technical skill.
A visual artist who has exhibited in Australia and internationally, Jade captures small details and the beauty of the surrounds, filtered through her unique vision. She loves to encapsulate and convey the mood of your wedding.
Jared has been filming professionally for the past decade, and longer if you count all the films he was making with his family camcorder when younger. These include short films, music videos, documentaries, and of course, wedding films.
He has experience across all different types of weddings and is a great addition to have to your day. Jared brings a calm, bright energy to weddings, from his years of experience and romanticised love for cinematic storytelling.
Freya & Greg are all about experiencing life to the fullest and capturing that with their cameras. They’ve shot weddings all over the country as they travel the continent in their self-converted van. They love capturing what is unique about each couple’s special relationship. They are massive fans of couples who shrug off what they think they NEED to do and instead do whatever the hell they WANT to do on their wedding day. Freya & Greg will be your own personal hype train.
